For Solo Organ. The starting point for this work was the Toccata and Fugue in D minor ascribed to J.S. Bach. Simon Preston retains all teh dramatic and virtuosic elements in his own piece, but frees it from the harmonic restraints of D minor.This exciting Toccata was composed for Sarah Baldock in 1998, and Tom Winpenny has recorded in on the Organ of St Albans Cathedral.
