Sonate 2 From The Concerti Grossi - Score and parts by Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713). For 2 Alto/Treble Recorders or Violins and Basso Continuo. Recorder with Keyboard or Continuo. 2 - Easy to Moderate. Score and Parts. Published by Moeck Verlag (MM.MK01038). Arcangelo Corelli (February 17, 1653 - January 8, 1713) was an Italian violin player and Baroque music composer. His compositions are distinguished by a beautiful flow of melody and by a mannerly treatment of the accompanying parts, which he is justly said to have liberated from the strict rules of counterpoint. Among Corellis extensive works, he is noted for the Twelve Concerti Grossi, opus 6, (presented in part here) which is arguably one of his most famous works. These concerti have often been popular in Western culture, for example, a portion of one of Corellis twelve Concerti Grossi is in the soundtrack of the film "Master and Commander - The Far Side of the World". 7 page score with parts.

Fantasie a Tre Voci - Score by Giovanni Bassano (1558-1617). For Lyra Viol, Tenor Viol, and Bass Viol; or 3 Violins; or SAT Recorders. String Trios, Recorder Trios. Italian Instrumental Music of the Renaissance. Score. Published by London Pro Musica (MM.LPMIM11). Giovanni Bassano (c.1558 - c.1617) was an Italian Venetian School composer and cornettist of the late Renaissance and early Baroque eras. He was a key figure in the development of the instrumental ensemble at St. Mark's basilica, and left a detailed book on instrumental ornamentation, which is a rich resource for research in contemporary performance practice. It is not known if he was related to Anthony Bassano a member of a well-known Venetian family of musicians. These pieces are suitable for any relatively quiet instruments, such as the violin famil, viols and recorders. About Italian Instrumental Music of the Renaissance These pieces are primarily for 2 or 3 instruments. Playable on recorders, viols - and some on crumhorns. Primarily available with just score - although later editions include parts.
