This charming musical combines an old Christmas folk story with new music that reminds us of the true meaning of giving. The musical tells the story of a church that had the most amazing chime of bells in its great ivory tower. According to a legend, on Christmas Eve, all the townspeople would bring gifts for the Christ Child. When a very special gift had been given, the chimes would ring sending forth the sweetest sound anyone had ever heard. Unfortunately, the bells had been silent for many years. Things began to change, however, when a young girl named Sara and her little brother journey to the church hoping to hear the chimes ring. Appropriate for children's choirs plus the addition of youth and/or adult if desired. Numerous non-singing roles also allow for maximum participation. Performance time: approximately 30 minutes.

"When In Our Music God Is Glorified" is an arrangement of the tune "Engelberg" that may be played by handbells alone, or in conjunction with organ, brass, timpani, SATB choir, and congregation. This glorious festival hymn arrangement begins with a fanfare introduction, followed by a straightforward setting of the first verse sung in unison. The second verse features the choir in four parts, accompanied by the bells and organ only. The brass and timpani join in on the third verse, which features a malleted or plucked bass line in the handbells, creating a march-like feel. A fanfare interlude precedes the majestic fourth verse, which features a soaring soprano descant, and a brief choral "Amen" concludes the arrangement. This hymn arrangement is perfect for worship, concert, or festival use.

A "vision quest" is a period of spiritual seeking among certain Native American peoples. It is a religious custom in which people climb to remote sites to fast, pray and commune with nature. Individuals may pray to each of the four directions, seeking certain benefits from each. This four-movement original work illustrates a prayer by David Dillon, which he used on his own vision quest. The movements use recurring but evolving themes, reflecting each petition of the prayer. A myriad of percussion instruments enhance the mystical quality of the music. The movements are entitled: I. I pray to the West which gives us rest and reflection; II. I pray to the North which gives us patience and purity; III. I pray to the East which gives us energy and emotions; IV. I pray to the South which gives us discipline and direction. Percussion parts include: Shaker (Maraca or Rattle), 2 Small Stones, Ankle Bells, Chime Tree/Mark Tree, Finger Cymbals, Whip Crack (without spring mechanism).

Tintinabulations is a light novelty piece containing the stylistic variations from the familiar holiday song Jingle Bells. The first portion of the piece goes back in time to the early 1800's and adopts the style of Gioacchino Rossini. This it seques to the elegance of waltz music from the days of the Strauss family. Progressing into the twentieth centry, Jingle Bells becomes a jazzy delight featuring a special tuba solo. As the piece comes to a climatic ending, the familiar melody takes on the lively sound of Country-Western music. With bells in the background throughout most of the piece, the definition of tintinabulations comes to mind; the ringing sound of bells.
