Oratorium nach Bildern der Bibel/Oratoria on words of the bible by Fanny Cecile Mendelssohn (1805-1847). Edited by Elke Mascha Blankenburg. For soli, choir and orchestra. Soli, Choir and Instruments (Piano, Organ, Orchestra). First edition. Choral. Intermediate. Choral score. Composed 1831. Duration 45'. Published by Furore Verlag (FV.FUE-5331). ISBN M-50012-335-4. Choral. This oratorio is the third of three church works composed in rapid succession on 1831; its scoring is more abundant than that of the cantatas composed prior to it: there are five- to eight-part choruses and the orchestra is expanded to include three trombones. Once again Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn looks back in musical history, this time to the pre-Baroque era, and adds a new dimension to her own compositional language by doing so. At times modal harmonies create an "archaic" atmosphere for the biblical texts. Performance material available on hire.

Messa d-Moll by E. T. A. Hoffmann. For mixed choir, soli voices, orchestra and organ (with solo parts). This edition: ETAH 110-01. Complete Editions. Choral score. Text language: Latin. 36 pages. Published by Schott Music (SD.49034070). ISBN 9790001136921. With Text language: Latin.

Te Deum H 146 by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1645-1704). Edited by Jean-Paul Montagnier. For mixed choir (SATB) with solo parts (SSATB) and orchestra (Basso Continuo). This edition: EOS 8042-17. Orchestra Music. Eulenburg Orchestra Series. Grade 3. Individual part. Text language: Latin. 14 pages. Duration 27 minutes. Published by Schott Music (SD.49034058). ISBN 9790200222708. With Text language: Latin.
