Swedish Fiddle Tunes for Two Mandolins arranged by Deborah Greenblatt. Mandolin Duet. For 2 mandolins. Tunes for Two. Swedish Folk. Tune book. Standard Notation. 58 pages. Published by Greenblatt & Seay (GS.BFE2SWFTFTM). With Standard Notation. Swedish Folk. 8.5 x 11 inches. 49 traditional Swedish tunes arranged for two players, with chords for back-up musicians included. Each of the "Fiddle Tunes for Two" collections consists of individual spiral-bound books presented in score form with melody on the top line and harmony beneath. Individual books are available for Violins, Violas, Cellos, Basses, and Mandolins. The tunes in each book of each series are in the same keys and include guitar chords. For instance, a violinist and a cellist could play a wedding together if they each had the appropriate "Wedding Fiddling for Two" book. These books work particularly well for private lessons where teacher and student can take turns playing lead and harmony parts.

Favorite Swedish Fiddle Tunes by Tom Gilland. For Fiddle & Violin. Solos. Fiddle Tunes. Beginning-Intermediate. Book. 40 pages. Published by Mel Bay Publications, Inc (MB.98271). ISBN 9780786646807. Fiddle Tunes. 8.5x11 inches. Swedish fiddle music has been greatly influenced by the surrounding countries. Evidence of this can be found in the names of some types of tunes, such as Polska from Poland, Schottis (a schottische) from Scotland, and Engelska from England. Other popular types of tunes included in this collection are ganglat which is a kind of march, brudmarsch which is a wedding tune, skanklat which is played at weddings when gifts are given to the bride and groom, and vals (a waltz). With Swedish music being very much an aural tradition, there are almost as many versions of tunes as there are people who play them. For this reason, the notation does not include much ornamentation, leaving it up to the player. Second parts have been included with some of the tunes. Each tune includes a translation of the title.
