Pleasant contrapuntal lines throughout make this a melodically interesting piece for everyone. (8 Brass) Relaxed Swing in 3/4 Phase Space is set in a relaxed mood with the melody first outlined by the lead trombone. Solo space for trumpet comes first after the melody with backgrounds sneaking in on the second chorus. Piano is allowed another solo with optional repeats. The piece ends with just piano trio simply stating the melody.

(8 Brass) Actually a re-composition of Benny Golson's standard Whisper Not. Although the melody of this great composition is never literally stated from beginning to end, every musical idea in the chart is based directly on some element of the tune. The arrangement often deals with conversation between instruments, sometimes several at once. It also begins with a whisper and the last chord is definitely a "NOT"!!! Alto 2 doubles flute and tenor 1 doubles clarinet.
