Sonata In F Major - Score and parts by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767). For 2 Alto/Treble Recorders and Basso Continuo. Recorder with Keyboard or Continuo. 3 - Moderate. Score and Parts. Published by Schott Music (MM.OFB0106). Georg Philipp Telemann (March 14, 1681 - June 25, 1767) was a German Baroque music composer, born in Magdeburg. Self-taught in music, he studied languages and science at the University of Leipzig. He was a contemporary of Johann Sebastian Bach, and friend of George Frideric Handel. While in the present day Bach is generally thought of as the greater composer, Telemann was widely renowned for his musical abilities during his lifetime. The Guinness Book of World Records lists Telemann as the most prolific composer of all time with more than 800 credited works. More recent study, for example the thematic catalogues of his works published in the 1980s and 1990s, has shown that Telemann actually composed over 3,000 compositions, many of which are now lost. Many of the manuscripts were destroyed during World War II.

Concerto V, Op 10 - solo and piano reduction by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741). For Flute and Piano. Miscellaneous Wind Music. Published by Schott Music (MM.FTR0083). Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (1678 - 1741), nicknamed Il Prete Rosso ("The Red Priest"), was an Italian priest and baroque music composer. Vivaldi is considered one of the composers who brought Baroque Music (with its typical contrast among heavy sonorities) to evolve into a classical style. The joyful appearance of his music reveals in this regard a transmissible joy of composing which attributes to the vast popularity of his music. This popularity soon made him famous also in countries like France which was, at the time, very independent in its musical taste.

Suite from Banchetto Musicale 1617 by Johann Hermann Schein (1586-1630). Edited by Schering. String Orchestra. For strings (2 viola). Orchestral. Full score. Duration 9 minutes. Published by C. F. Kahnt (PE.FK0030-S). Johann Hermann Schein was born on January 20, 1586 in Gruenhain. He was one of the first German composers to absorb and integrate the innovations of the Italian Baroque (monody, concertato style, figured bass). This is extraordinary as, unlike his friend Heinrich Schutz (who made more than one trip to Italy) , Schein seems to have spent his entire life in Germany. Also unlike Schuetz, his life was neither long nor happy (his wife died in childbirth; four of his five children did not live past infancy; he suffered from tuberculosis, gout, scurvy, and a kidney disorder). Schein died at the age of 44, on November 19, 1630.Score.
